Los Angeles - July 6th, 19^5 Mr. E. B. Kali: (CO - Mr. G. P. Ashby) We are now In receipt of authority to proceed with drilling of an additional water well at Las Vegas, to depth probably not to exceed SJD feet. Casing for this well and the drilling mud have previously been shipped to Las Vegas, the cellar has been constructed* and the caliche broken up for a depth of about 10 feet to start the drilling bit. We are preparing to proceed with pipe line, reservoir and settling basin construction, and would like to have this well drilled so it may be in operation by the end of the year, and if your portable rotary rig is going to be available so the work may be performed within that period will appreciate if you will fix an approximate date for commencing work so that we may arrange letter agreement for the cost-plus job.
