Leo: Mr# Maim told me today that they were ©xpai’ienc-ing some d iffic u lt y In capping the Company* s w e ll, that i t had already entailed considerable expense, and that I t would require considerable further expenditure before the water could be e ffe c tiv e ly capped# He told me that his men in charge of the work had advised that there had been two men from the State Engineer*s o ffic e checking and measuring the flow of the w e ll, in sta llin g weirs, etc# fo r the past week or ten days# I told him that I would advise you# Ho doubt this is work that has been delayed by the State Engineer on account of the adjudication at Winn-emucca on the Humbolt River stream system, as X understand that moat of th eir available men are over there* You probably know a l l about this without me w rit­ing you, but I thought i t best to advise.
