H, Knickerbocker: Referring to Mr. Huntley’s personal letter of February 17th, returned herewith, relative to capping of well at Las Vegas: The flow around outer casing at present time is, I under­stand from Well Contractor Roseoe Moss and a study of the well con­struction, coming from flow encountered between main flow at bottom of well and top of ground, and it is thought there is no flow com­ing up around the casing from the bottom of the well* When well is capped, we w ill be able to tell definitely i f this is so as flow w ill probably increase i f same comes from bottom of well, due to retarding flow of water, and this feature l. w ill be watched carefully and regulated by the valve which it is intended to install- when well is capped.
