Dear Sir: Deferring to your favor of February 16th, on the subject of forged check amounting to $68.35. I have referred this matter to Mr.J.Boss Claik and he advises that he has had no correspondence whatever with you relative to this check. You returned my letter of January 12th with an endorsement dated February 6th to the effect that both Mr. Clark and myself had personal knowledge and correspondence in reference to this, and, from your letter of February 16th X quote as follows: "Have discussed it with Mr,J.Boss Clark and had some correspondence with him about the matter". $he first knowledge I had of this forged check was your statement of cash transactions for the month of December, in which you claimed credit for the amount, since which time I have been endeavoring to get some informa­tion relative to the transaction. I would advise you to keep either carbon copies or tissue copies of your correspondenoe, especially correspondence of such import as this.
