Water Application 7200-7201 - Las Vegas Los Angeles, May 4, 1927 Mr. F. H. Knickerbocker I have before me copy of letter to you from Mr. Armstrong dated April 22nd and copies of letters to yo u from Mr* Adamson under dates of April 22nd and 23rd relative to the above. In m y letter of April 4th to Mr. Armstrong I was under the impression that an economical measurement could be made by meter, or otherwise, of water diverted through the pipe line for railroad an d municipal uses at the intake or source and one measurement b y meter at the point where delivery is made to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company. 'Ehe accumulation of water from the spring and well, absence of a reservoir an d flow back, as Mr. Adamson suggests, would make installation of meter at source expensive and inadvisable, an d it would seem that the manner suggested of metering each special use will b e the most accurate and satisfactory for all purposes and will furnish complete data for proof required on our showing of beneficial use of this water to the state authorities under the applications. cc- Mr. A. S. Halsted Mr. W. R. Armstrong Mr, Charles Adams Mr. R. L. Adamson Mr. Leo A* McNamee Mr. W. R. Bracken
