Sexton 2 January £1, 1942 These are a few of the many definitions of adjacent as found in “Words and Phrases* and as Interpreted by the courts in decisions from which I have quoted. 1 think after you have considered these definitions you will realize that our use of the word “adjacent" was a careful use and one which would permit a certain flexibility in the use of the rule without permitting an abuse thereof.
