M* Folger - Las Vegas* (ce Mr* Wm* Reinhardt) Referring to your le t t e r o f January 17, 1950 f i l e W 18-6-2, requesting statement showing production and consump­tion o f water at Las Vegas, Nevada during the year 1949, fo r use in compiling the annual report to the Nevada Public Service Commission. There are attached, two statements, one showing correct­ed production and consumption by months fo r the year, and the other statement showing gallons o f water sold and used at Las Vegas during the year, to agree with the corrected consumption fig u res. The records we receive from our Water Service forces at Las Vegas, showing production o f water, are not always accurate and fo r most o f the months the records show more water consumed than produced. This is due prim arily to the fa c t , that some meters are out o f order and to inaccuracy o f measurements o f water going over the w eirs, which does not produce a true picture of(th e production. We have a rb itra rily increased the to ta l production to agree with the consumption and shown the ru n -off during weir measuring as wastage. Regarding changes made in the number of feet o f trans­mission mains in Railroad accounts, west o f the track at Las Vegas during the year 1949* Under Work Order 4261, Bonanza V illa ge, the Railroad Company constructed 1657 fe e t o f water pipe lin e from the 24” reservoir main, consisting o f 655 f t . o f 12” C.X. pipe, 26 f t . o f 12” ste e l pipe and 976 f t . o f 14” transite pipe.
