The Roosevelt Fitzgerald Interview for "Nevada, One of Fifty" Program consists of one audiocassette. This series of radio programs produced by the University of Nevada, Reno, was part of the U.S. Bicentennial celebration, and explored various aspects of the state: history, politics, immigrants, Native Americans, government, ghost towns, art, and some individuals. Every show featured a different host and guest. In this interview, Dr. Mark Weinstein interviews Dr. Roosevelt Fitzgerald on the subject of "Ethnic groups in Nevada." Fitzgerald was a University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) faculty member and Director of the Ethnic Studies program. He dedicated his life to teaching and was well-known as a researcher and writer of the history of the Black experience in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In 2025, Sarah Jones accessioned the collection, rehoused the tape, and created the finding aid in ArchivesSpace. In 2025, the cassette was digitized by an outside vendor and the files were ingested off a flashdrive. Sarah Jones updated the finding aid.
