Grand Casinos, Inc. is a casino entertainment company that develops, constructs, and manages comprehensive gaming and entertainment properties in Mississippi, Louisiana, Minnesota, and owns approximately 43% of the Stratosphere, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1998, Hilton Hotels Corporation spun off a subsidiary, Park Place Entertainment, and Park Place Entertainment acquired Grand Casinos, Inc. During the merger, Grand Casinos, Inc. other operations were renamed Lakes Entertainment, Inc., to reflect their focus on non-casino businesses. As of 2015, Lakes Entertainment, Inc. agreed to a merger with Golden Entertainment.
