The Clark County Community College (CCCC) was founded in 1971, becoming the Community College of Southern Nevada (CCSN) in 1991. With the addition of a four-year degree program in 2006, the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education voted to change the name of the school to the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) in 2007.
