Former Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer Mike Malone served as a Republican State Assemblyman for the 4th District from 1979 to 1985. He served on the Judiciary and Education Committees. He then served as State Senator for the 6th District from 1986 to 1990. While in the Senate, he chaired the Judiciary and Legislative Affairs and Operations Committees.
