if you could tell him which Jefferson it was. His first name, Well Mammy I promised you a long letter this time but I'll be darned if I know what to write about. I am ashamed of such a short letter when you write me 8 Pages. I might tell you that I put my wash out on the line today. Is that interesting? Now to tell the truth Mammy I don't know what in thunder to write about. Expect if you were here you could write from morning till night & then have to write overtime. Don't believe all you read in the papers there about the trouble here. There is absolutely no trouble yet and I don't think there will be. Well I have blowed myself for this time so here goes. All O.K. here and hope this catches you all in same boat. Earle
