Oral history interview with Micheal Miller conducted by Broderick T. Ackerman on April 05, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Miller discusses arriving to Ely, Nevada in the 1920s and later moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in the late 1920s. Miller then discusses the businesses that he invested in and other properties that he purchased throughout his lifetime. Miller speaks about his time working on ranches and as a trapper in Northern Nevada.

Oral history interview with Clara Ann Nickell conducted by Connie Lyons on March 05, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Nickell discusses moving from California to Boulder City, Nevada to work at the Boulder (Hoover) Dam. Newman discusses her early life and why she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She discusses changes in the city from housing developments to growth in education due to the construction of additional schools and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also discusses the construction of new hotels and resorts. Newman later describes the growth of the Girl Scouts in Las Vegas.

He also touches upon his political views, his opinion on gambling, and changes in Las Vegas over time.

Oral history interview with Mark Matthews conducted by Marcus Harrison on March 30, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Matthews discusses his arrival to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1949 in an attempt to find better living conditions. Matthews then describes living through the Great Depression, and explains the hardships it brought upon many people. Matthews later discusses improvements in transportation throughout the city as more streets were paved.

Oral history interview with G.W. McMillin conducted by Dan Morris on March 10, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. McMillin discusses arriving to Southern Nevada in 1924 and recalls Las Vegas, Nevada as a small town. McMillan begins by speaking about how he ended up in Nevada, his time in Ely, Nevada working for the sheriff and state highway patrol, and his memory of Carol Lombard’s plane crash. McMillan speaks primarily about his time working in politics having worked for two different governors and their administrations.
