The Roosevelt Fitzgerald Professional Papers (1890-1996) contain the papers and writings of Roosevelt Fitzgerald, a former University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) anthropology professor and Director of the Ethnic Studies department. Materials include Fitzgerald's educational records, professional correspondence, and documents from his time at UNLV. The collection also contains drafts of his articles on Black history in Nevada and discrimination, newspaper clippings and copies of the Las Vegas Sentinel Voice in which his articles appeared, photographs, and prepared speeches.

Oral history interview with Rose and Mark Oatis conducted by Claytee D. White, Anna Frederick, and Remy Chwae on June 10, 2017 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Rose and Mark discuss their upbringings and early interest in art. Mark talks about the significance of sign and signboards, sign design, and the founding of the Letterheads. He talks about sign painting in Las Vegas, Nevada, education on sign painting, and modern graphic design. Lastly, Rose and Mark discuss the regional styles of sign painting in various cities of the country.

Brad Jerbic and Tom Perrigo share their experiences working with landscape architect Jay Pleggenkuhle to create the Healing Garden of Las Vegas after the October 1 shooting. They discuss how the community was in need of a place to mourn and heal after the tragedy, and how imperative it was for the space to be constructed quickly.

Cindy's twin daughters were present and injured during the Route 91 Festival and October 1 shooting. She describes their experiences and the Random Acts of Kindness project she piloted at her school after the incident.

Oral history interview with Jacqueline Barker conducted by Claytee D. White on February 14, 2013 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Barker discusses her upbringing in Las Vegas, Nevada and growing up in the Westside. She talks about the importance of the church in the Westside and the significance of education in her family. Barker remembers her father’s involvement with school integration in Las Vegas, the sixth grade centers, and the racism she experienced while attending the University of Nevada, Reno during the 1970s.

Oral history interview with Marge Jacques conducted by Dennis McBride on May 26 and 28, 1998 for the Las Vegas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Archives Oral History Project. In this interview, Jacques discusses her involvement in the LGBTQ community in Las Vegas, Nevada, and running the Le Cafe bar. She later discusses her friendship with the former Governor of Nevada Grant Sawyer. She talks about LGBTQ supporting policies that Sawyer contributed in, and his involvement with the progress of LGBTQ civil rights in Nevada.

Lupe Avelar describes her life growing up in Durango, Mexico on a family farm and her immigration to New Mexico as a teen with her brother before returning back to Mexico. Lupe talks about her marriage to Eladio Avelar and how the couple eventually moved to California as well as her circumstances of moving to Las Vegas.
