The Frances Intravia Photograph Collection (approximately 1948 to 1979) contains three black-and-white photographic prints. The images depict Albert and Arabell Lee Hafner, author of 100 Years on the Muddy, visiting the St. Thomas, Nevada townsite after the Lake Mead water levels dropped enough make it visible. One of the prints is an original from approximately 1948 to 1952, and the other two are reproductions of images taken during the same period.

Oral history interview with Elva Mercardo, Virgie Wilburn, and Dr. Alonzo Anderson conducted by Lowell Townley in 1974 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, the three interviewees recall the life of Margie Grubb. Elva Mercardo is Grubb's niece; Virgie Wilburn is a former employee and friend; and Dr. Anderson is a veterinarian and friend. Mercardo describes how Grubb managed bars in Las Vegas, Nevada, her personality, and Grubb's relationship with other people including Mercardo's father and Grubb's business partners.

Oral history interview with Steven R. Melugin conducted by R. C. Taliaferro on April 08, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, Melugin discusses his birth at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, his early education, imprisonment, the growth of Las Vegas, and racial segregation. Other topics discussed include Melugin's international travels.

Oral history interview with Sebastian Mikulich Sr. conducted by Sherry Angell on July 17, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Mikulich discusses his personal history and his employment with Southern Pacific Railroad. Mikulich describes the expansion of railroads throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona. Later, he recalls working during the Korean War, and the increase of transportation on trains in the 1960s. Lastly, he explains the work he performed on the trains and shares anecdotes from his career.

The Harold Hind Photograph Collection (approximately 1942-1960) contains black-and-white photographic prints with corresponding negatives. The images predominately depict groups of people including Harold Hind and his wife Betty Biggs Hind. The majority are ‘souvenir’ photographs, primarily from the Hotel Last Frontier and the El Rancho Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Grant Sawyer conducted by Perry Kaufman on May 12, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Sawyer discusses his campaign for Governor of Nevada and the differences between northern Nevada and southern Nevada social life. He then describes winning the election for Governor, the gaming industry, and explains why gaming was significant to his political career. Lastly, Sawyer discusses the Nevada Gaming Commission before and after he was Governor, and actions that he took against organized crime.

Oral history interviews with Gue Gim Wah conducted by Elizabeth N. Patrick on September 23, 1981 and September 24, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Wah discusses her life as a Chinese immigrant, her husband's life, and running the dining operations at the Prince Mine near Pioche, Nevada. Wah describes arriving in the United States as a child and the difficult immigration process she faced.

Oral history interview with Frank Suda conducted by Eileen Green on March 03, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Suda describes life in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1942, where he was sent for military training during World War II. He discusses the history of the Las Vegas Flexible Gunnery School which was located in what became Indian Springs, Nevada, and the establishment of Nellis Air Force Base. He talks about recreational activities in Las Vegas, including listing different entertainers and casinos that were present at the time.

Oral history interview with Phillip B. McVey conducted by Carl Amante in approximately 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, McVey discusses his ancestors moving to Nevada between 1867 and 1868 and his birth in Eureka, Nevada. McVey describes graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, working as a land and water surveyor throughout Nevada, and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in approximately 1960.

Oral history interview with Roy Waite conducted by Dale Haley in approximately 1974 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Waite begins by discussing his athleticism, being a part of the first basketball team in Las Vegas, Nevada, and his general store in Bunkerville, Nevada. Waite lists the different social organizations and boards he was affiliated with, describes the arrival of the railroads, and the ranch he used to own near Bunkerville. He talks about the construction of Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) and how Southern Nevada has changed socially and environmentally.
