The Margot Mink Colbert Papers (approximately 1959-2018) are comprised of materials that represent Colbert's career as a professional dancer, choreographer, and instructor. The materials span Colbert's career as a dancer in New York City at The Juilliard School, instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The materials in this collection also document Colbert's teaching career as well as her professional studio Ballet Mink.

Oral history interview with Walker Young conducted by Elton Garrett on June 23, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Virginia "Teddy" Fenton, Hal Erickson, Martha Garrett, and Jane Young also briefly participate in the interview. They answer a few questions about their experience working on the project and working with Young. Young primarily discusses the design and construction of the Boulder (Hoover) Dam. He details surveying possible dam sites and describes his interactions with members of the project team.

Oral history interview with Barr Smith conducted by Melvin Smail on February 22, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Smith discusses his personal history and the history of Las Vegas, Nevada. Smith discusses working at the Basic Magnesium plant, playing high stakes poker games with prominent gamblers like "Nick the Greek," and the casinos built on the early Las Vegas Strip. Smith also describes how Las Vegas has changed, the different forms of gambling and gaming available in the city, and life in 1940s Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Tona Siefert conducted by Lisa Becker on February 25, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Siefert discusses her personal history and a comprehensive history of the evolution of Las Vegas, Nevada. Siefert discusses how her father, James Cashman Sr., and her mother met and founded Las Vegas' oldest automobile dealership, education in Las Vegas, and prominent politicians that have represented or visited Nevada, such as Senator Key Pittman and President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Oral history interview with Raymond Ellsworth Sutton conducted by Ronnie A. Peters on March 14, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Sutton discusses arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1941 and recalls the construction of the Basic Magnesium Plant and hundreds of homes built in Henderson, Nevada. Sutton then describes his work as an attorney, the Nevada education system, and recalls his experiences as a student at the University of Nevada, Reno.

The W. I. Booth and A. Allen Photograph Album of Goldfield, Nevada (approx. 1900-1910) contains forty-five black-and-white photographs taken by photographers W. I. Booth and A. Allen. The images depict the Goldfield, Nevada townsite; mines, miners, camps, and equipment; horses pulling freight and carriages across the desert; and topographical features of Goldfield and outlying areas. The photographs document the mining boom in the Goldfield area during the early 20th century.

Oral history interview with Melville Smith conducted by Karl Kuopus on February 17, 1977 and February 23, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Smith describes his career working for the City of Las Vegas, Nevada in the Planning and Development Department. Smith discusses city planning, how Las Vegas has changed, and housing in the city. Smith also talks about nuclear weapons tests, his children, and why he moved to Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Hubert Sampley conducted by Karen Franke on February 24, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Sampley discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1950. Sampley details his career at an oil refinery, farm, as well as his career in the U.S. Air Force. Sampley also describes the gaming industry.

Oral history interview with Byron Shutt conducted by Jack Andrews on March 09, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Shutt discusses the history of Henderson, Nevada after moving there from Missouri in 1949. Shutt describes hitchhiking his way to Las Vegas, Nevada from Missouri, meeting Jim Thorpe in Thorpe's Henderson supper club, and the legalization of gambling in Henderson.

Oral history interview with Gwyn and Quint Perkins conducted by Rosamond Kathleen Wright on February 28, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Gwyn Perkins discusses early life in Crystal, Nevada before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1940. She also describes her education and atomic bomb testing. Later, Quint Perkins details his early life in Overton, Nevada.
