Oral history interview with Richard E. Strahlem conducted by Jacqueline R. Hall on March 12, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Strahlem discusses arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1958 in search of job opportunities. Strahlem then describes the local businesses that he worked with and recalls the competitive nature of gambling. Strahlem later discusses the construction of McCarren International Airport and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Oral history interview with Frances L. Turner conducted by Norma Williams on February 28, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Turner discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada during World War II after her husband was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base. Turner describes life in Las Vegas during wartime, the jobs she held, and life after the war. She goes on to talk about moving to Pahrump, Nevada, describing life in the town and its local farming and dairy industries.

Oral history interview with Craig F. Swallow conducted by Christine E. Johnson on February 29, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Swallow discusses his personal history growing up in Boulder City, Nevada. Swallow describes life in Boulder City, his education, and important figures in the city. Swallow also discusses his time in the U.S. Army before eventually moving to Las Vegas, Nevada to start his career as a teacher.

Oral history interview with Joseph E. Sullivan conducted by Heather Comer on March 14, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Sullivan discusses his personal history growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada after moving there from Denver, Colorado in 1928. Sullivan describes the history of Las Vegas and some of its particular aspects, including the Helldorado Festival and how snakes were driven out of the Lake Mead area to create the lake. He also describes working in one of the first Las Vegas clubs and his latest career owning a slot machine company.

Oral history interview with Alice Ward Boyer conducted by Joanne Goodwin on June 26, 1996 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) Las Vegas Women Oral History Project. Boyer opens her interview discussing her family and their life in Oklahoma from the 1910s to 1930s. Boyer then describes how she and her husband moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1937 to escape the dustbowl in the Midwest. She discusses adjusting to life in Las Vegas and what the city was like during wartime. She then talks about joining the Mesquite Club in 1944.

Oral history interviews with Mildred Nay Turner conducted by Terry Roberterson and Joanne Goodwin on December 05, 1999 and May 08, 2000 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) on behalf of the Tule Springs Preservation Committee. Turner opens her interview discussing her birth at Tule Springs in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1924. Turner goes on to describe her family's migration history and the establishment of her family's ranch at Tule Springs. Lastly, Turner discusses other families that settled the area around the same time, children's activities, and women's social activities.

Oral history interview with Kay Rodriguez conducted by Irene Rostine on November 14, 1997 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN). Rodriguez discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada from South Dakota to get a divorce in 1959. Rodriguez describes working as a waitress at the Dunes and the Riviera and making a new life in Las Vegas. She discusses her work in the real estate industry and the challenges of being a working mother. Rodriguez also talks about opening her own real estate office, and the demographics of the real estate industry during the 1960s.

Oral history interviews with Leona Hinton conducted by Irene Rostine on September 27, 1995, October 31, 1995, and November 18, 1995 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN). In her interviews Hinton discusses working for Rheem Manufacturing Company in Henderson, Nevada during World War II. She describes the challenges of being a working mother, the housing issues in Henderson, and attending Mormon church services. Hinton also discusses her husband's military and firefighter career.

Oral history interview with Elmer Hilsinger conducted by Irene Rostine on October 02, 1991 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN). In his interview, Hilsinger discusses working conditions at Basic Magnesium Incorporated plant in Henderson, Nevada during World War II. Hilsinger describes the contributions of women employees, safety rules at the plant, and labor unions. He also discusses daily life in the township of Henderson at the time.

Oral history interview with Marilyn Martin conducted by Irene Rostine on October 09, 1996 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN). Martin opens her interview by discussing moving to Nevada in 1963 with her husband and two small children. Martin describes her career with the Southern Nevada Telephone company as a customer service representative. Martin compares the requirements to work for the phone company in New York state with the lesser requirements of Nevada. Martin goes on to discuss her training, salary, and her overall experiences at the telephone company.
