Clyde Gail Andress arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the early 1930s and, except for relocations due to military service in World War Two, remained an active citizen of Las Vegas until retiring to Nelson, Nevada, in 1987. Hiss careers spanned a number of occupations, from car dealerships to construction work.

Abstract

The Denny Lynch Photograph Collection (approximately 1900-1990) contains photographic prints and negatives of the Lynch family and their homes in Pahrump Valley and near Blue Diamond, Nevada. The photographs also depict locations and people throughout Nevada, primarily in Pahrump and Amargosa with a focus between approximately 1970 and 1990. Other photographs include local, state, and federal politicians in Nevada and Washington, D.C. Most of these photographs were collected by Denny Lynch for his newspaper, the Pahrump Tribune.

Abstract

The George E. Perkins Manuscript about Paiute History (approximately 1900-1929) consists of a four-page handwritten recounting of Paiute history and tradition "as told to the author" (George Elwood Perkins). The recounted story references the Las Vegas Wash and Boulder Canyon, as well as agreements between the Hualapais and the Paiutes regarding living and hunting along the Colorado River.
