Oral history interview with Frances Ohman conducted by Claytee D. White on December 12, 2013 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Ohman begins the interview by discussing her family history and her father who escaped a Nazi concentration camp as a prisoner of war in World War II. She goes on to discuss her personal history, including her education and her experiences observing racial discrimination as a child in Kansas and during the 1960s in New Mexico.

The John D. Dombrink Gaming Research Files (approximately 1951-1990) contain the research files of John D. Dombrink in preparation for his book The Last Resort: Success and Failure in Campaigns for Casinos, published in 1991. The collection consists of newspaper clippings, journal articles, and public reports on a variety of topics and issues related to gaming in the United States, including organized crime, commercial gaming, and regulatory practices and issues.

Oral history interview with Valda and Esper Esau conducted by Su Kim Chung on February 20, 2014 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, the Espers discuss their careers in entertainment. Valda Esper begins by describing her upbringing in Australia, learning to dance, and later going on to perform in various productions in Paris, France, as well as other European countries, before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1958 to perform as a showgirl at the Stardust Resort and Casino.

Oral history interviews with Floyd Jenne conducted by Dennis McBride on various dates in March, April, and October of 1996 for the Boulder City Library Oral History Project. In the interviews, Jenne discusses his birth in Ogden, Utah in 1915, his early life in Northern Nevada in 1920s, and his later life in Boulder City, Nevada working as a reclamation ranger for the Bureau of Reclamation.

The Larry A. Strate Faculty Papers (approximately 1985-2025) are comprised primarily of scholarly articles and papers from the Pacific Southwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business annual conferences written by Strate during his time as a business law professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Materials also include personal memoir written by Strate about his life, and other published material by Strate.

Oral history interview with Therese Thomas conducted by Dennis McBride on March 13, 1995 for the Boulder City Library Oral History Project. In the interview, Thomas discusses her early life in Thistle, Utah before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in approximately 1931, where her father worked on the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) construction. Thomas then talks about her early schooling in Boulder City, Nevada, her experiences as a swing and dance band musician, Block 16 in the Clark Las Vegas Townsite, and her memories of Las Vegas hotels and casinos.

Oral history interview with Agnes and Emory Lockette conducted by Claytee D. White on March 11, 2005 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Emory discusses his education in architectural and structural engineering. Agnes describes her education in early childhood education, teaching in the Westside and at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Emory then recalls his employment at the Bureau of Reclamation. Lastly, the two share their active involvement with the Boulder City, Nevada community.

Oral history interview with Jesse Scott conducted by Claytee D. White on June 29, 2009 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Scott describes growing up in Louisiana and his initial involvement with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as vice president of the youth council. He recalls positions he held beginning in the 1970s with the Las Vegas NAACP branch as an executive director, executive director of the Equal Rights Commission, and later, president of the Las Vegas NAACP.
