Oral history interview with Sally Harviel and Judy MacMillan conducted by Claytee D. White on July 21, 2016 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In the first part of the interview, Harviel discusses her early life moving around the United States, her marriages, and moving to Henderson, Nevada in 1990. She recalls being a founding member of the Desert Newcomers Club, a non-profit social organization for women living in Henderson and Boulder City, Nevada. She also describes events the Desert Newcomers Club held within the Las Vegas, Nevada community throughout the years.

Oral history interview with Timothy C. Williams conducted by Claytee D. White on April 14, 2011 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Williams discusses his personal history in Chicago, Illinois in the 1960s and eventually moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985. He describes his career in law and the increase of African American lawyers in Las Vegas by the end of the 1980s. Williams then talks about the founders and past presidents of the Las Vegas National Bar Association (LVNBA).

The Verna Mortensen Photograph Collection (approximately 1960-1679) is comprised of eight photographic prints that depict Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada and ferries on the Colorado River in Nevada.

Oral history interviews with Richard Kunkel conducted by Patrick Carlton on October 11, 2002 and November 06, 2002 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Kunkel opens his interview by explaining his higher education career in the 1970s throughout the Midwest. He then discusses being hired as Dean in 1978 for the in the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He then describes the faculty at UNLV at the time, his leadership style, and the different administrations at the Nevada Department of Education.

Oral history interview with Eddie Hall Holzman conducted by Lisa Gioia-Acres on October 02, 2008 for the All That Jazz Oral History Project. Holzman begins the interview talking about his growth as a musician while living and performing in New Jersey and New York. He also discusses his time playing while enlisted in the military, until he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1947 where he played in a jazz band. Holzman also describes working as a card dealer at the Thunderbird Hotel and Casino, the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino, and the El Rancho Hotel and Casino.

Oral history interview with Flora and Stuart Mason conducted by David G. Schwartz on February 27, 2010 for the Remembering Jay Sarno Oral History Project. Flora Mason begins by discussing the relationship between her family and the Sarnos. Mason describes that she and her husband socialized with Jay and Joyce Sarno in the 1960s because they lived on the same street in Las Vegas, Nevada. Stuart Mason recounts how the Sarnos were incredibly friendly and Jay occasionally invited him to play golf.

Oral history interview with Justice Michael L. Douglas and Judge Timothy C. Williams conducted by Claytee D. White on November 10, 2011 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Justice Douglas opens the interview by discussing Arthur "Art" L. Williams Jr., a lawyer who was receiving a lifetime achievement award from the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association (LVNBA) later that month.

Oral history joint interview with the "Holiday in Japan" dancers conducted by Claytee D. White on May 26, 2011 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. The dancers present for the interview were Sachiko O. Thompson, Minoru Saito, Kazu Hamada, Kyoko Nakamura, Nobuko Suda, and Katsuko Tomoko Billman. The dancers begin by discussing their lives in Japan before coming to the United States in 1960 to perform their "Holiday in Japan" stage show.

Oral history interview with Bernadine Schneider conducted by an unknown interviewer on an unknown date in 2006 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Schneider opens her interview by discussing her childhood in Iowa. She talks about growing up with an abusive, alcoholic father, and how that affected her family and her own development. Schneider then explains that her mother sent her to church, which she credits with ultimately saving and improving her live.

Oral history interview with Jay C. Sarno Jr. conducted by David G. Schwartz on July 10, 2008 for the Remembering Jay Sarno Oral History Project. Sarno begins by discussing how his parents met in the early 1950s in Miami, Florida and were married within six weeks. Sarno then describes his family moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1965 and living in the Dunes Hotel for the first three weeks. Sarno then chronicles his parents’ marriage and their divorce in the 1970s.
